In the spirit of the awful holiday Valentine's Day, I've decided to write about one of my most awkward romantic (or I guess I better say awkwardly unromantic) moments ever.
My freshman year of college I was at a Halloween party and ran into my friend and her hallmate, a very good looking tall brunette. He was the kind of good looks that were very easy on the eyes, yet nothing about him particularly stood out. You wouldn't say to your friends, oh he had the most amazing smile, or his eyes sparkled, or even his ears stuck out like Dumbo. But he was the generic good looking tall, dark and handsome-ish type.
So imagine my surprise when several girls were vying for his attention and he paid attention to me all night, especially since I was fully dressed in real clothes, not lingerie. It was a good overall night, we had met each other's friends, and were in the awkward it's almost the end of the night, where is this going phase. Maybe one night, maybe a year kind of deciding factor when we were alone on the deck outside. I looked up to talk to him and at that exact moment he was coming in for a kiss. Unfortunately, his kiss landed right on my eye. AWKWARD. And to make matters worse I was not accustomed to dealing with semi-awkward, semi-sexual situations at this point in time. So I'm pretty sure I did nothing to help his ego of missing completely his target.
We quickly parted ways and I never saw him again. I heard afterwards that his family were multi-billionaires out of Boston, and that he had decided to "take a semester off" and go live in Fiji for fun. Damn it!!!!!!!!

I was on Pinterest, as usual, when I found this pin where someone mentioned
they wanted this top from Lululemon and they were going to use their $1
reward...
